Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)
What is it? Hidradenitis suppurativa is a condition that causes small, painful lumps under the skin. The lumps usually develop in areas where your skin rubs together, such as under the arms (“armpits”), groin and groin folds (“private areas”), buttocks and breasts. The lumps are painful, can drain and give an odor, can recur, and can lead to permanent scarring.
