Brigitte Acosta, MS, PA-C

Brigitte is a dedicated Physician Assistant at Michigan Dermatology Institute, specializing in medical dermatology and comprehensive skin care. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Michigan–Flint and her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Oakland University, with a concentration in pre-professional studies. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Brigitte spent over 10 years working in dermatology as both a medical assistant and office manager. During that time, she also contributed to breast cancer research, further strengthening her commitment to patient care, early detection, and evidence-based treatment.

Brigitte provides personalized dermatologic care for a wide range of acute and chronic skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and hidradenitis suppurativa. She is passionate about helping patients improve their skin health while building confidence through customized treatment plans and ongoing skin management.At Michigan Dermatology Institute, Brigitte is committed to delivering patient-centered care that goes beyond the surface—focusing on long-term skin health, prevention, and education.

Outside of the office, Brigitte enjoys staying active and connected to nature—whether she’s hiking local trails or playing pickleball with friends. During Michigan’s colder months, she embraces a slower pace, spending time painting and reading—bringing that same sense of balance, creativity, and attention to detail into the care she provides her patients.
